Overseas Volunteer for a Better India (OVBI) announces – Big Ideas for a Better India, a conference that will assemble a confluence of powerful speakers & over 400 delegates from
across 25 major cities in the U.S. The conference, to be held in Washington D.C. on Dec 22nd 2013, will discuss on the role of NRI community in working toward a better India.

Confirmed speakers for the conference include, Business executive and entrepreneur – Naveen Jain, Founder of the Infinity foundation – Rajiv Malhotra, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has agreed to do the Keynote Address

OVBI the overseas wing of the organization Volunteer for Better India, is aimed at providing a global platform for the 23 million strong NRI community worldwide; a platform to work towards a positive transformation. OVBI was launched in May 2013, and in a short period of time has managed to bring together over 10,000 volunteers from all walks of life.

OVBI thus far has lend its strong support to major initiatives that include – 30 million voter registration drive – App for voter registration – Connect & be Inspired (a series of Google hangouts with prominent personalities) – Awareness drives and inspiring second generation Indian-American community to make a difference back home.

Suresh Vasu, president of OVBI said “The financial resources combined with intellectual & process knowledge of the NRI community can play a significant role in combating the ills facing our country today”, and OVBI promises to do just that.
